Hollywood Star Joins Special Forces

Famous Hollywood Actor is First to Join Special Forces by TBone
Mosul, Iraq

In an amazing show of solidarity for deployed American forces in Iraq, Bert the puppet deployed to the Middle East as part of the Joint Special Operations Task Force there.

Bert asked for no special favors as he completed Airborne training, Special Forces Assessment and Selection, and then the Special Forces Qualification Course. The 40+ year old puppet successfully qualified as a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant (MOS 18B), the first puppet to pass the rigorous course. After being assigned to an Operational Detachment - Alpha (ODA), Bert also completed the Special Forces Advanced Urban Combat course, where he learned how to break down doors and shoot bad guys in the face.

The photo above shows Bert pulling security on a Patrol in Mosul, Iraq. Bert is pretty stoked to be included in the elite ranks of the Special Forces. When asked why such a famous actor would do such a thing, he replied "I wanted to be the first American actor to really support the troops. Those other candy-ass actors will never know what it's like to be a barrel-chested freedom fighter. I admire all the men and women in uniform more than any of those Hollywood jackasses. I only wish Ernie was here with me to share the excitement of rounding up terrorists and giving them the good news."

We will be following Bert's ODA in the future and letting you know how they are doing.
