...jihad is here. The New York Times reported:"Three Ohioans were charged in federal courts on Tuesday with conspiring to kill American forces in Iraq as part of an Islamic holy war against the United States." [emphasis mine]
Ohioans? I guess they can technically call them "Ohioans" because they live in Ohio, but I suppose by that rationale I could be called an Iraqi because I lived in Iraq. In reality they are three Muslim men who conspired to kill real Americans. Yes, I am calling them "un-American" because that's what they are. Anyone who would conspire against our Nation does not deserve to be tagged with a name as noble as "Ohioan". One is a dual American-Jordanian citizen, so maybe he was born here (I don't know); one is naturalized citizen born in Jordan; and the other is resident alien from Jordan. I don't care what their legal status is; if the allegations are true, they are National security risks, and enemies of the State.
"It was part of the conspiracy that one or more conspirators would recruit others to train for violent jihad against the United States and its allies in Iraq and elsewhere," the indictment said.
No, really? Muslims living in the United States are training and plotting for Jihad? That is just unthinkable. That couldn't happen in the United States, could it? This might be a BushHitlerburton conspiracy designed to frighten Americans into believing there is some kind of threat in the US. Or maybe it is yet another fortunate revelation that we should wake the hell up and smell the Jihad. We caught three, but there are many more out there, living right next door to you.
There is a hidden, but real, threat of serious proportions right in the heart of America that we need to recognize. We can't afford to live in a fantasy world and believe we are immune from the danger. If you didn't take the time to look at it, go to my previous post and look at the video. You have to be more aware of your surroundings, and start to accept the fact that the Islamists war against us is very real. It is not a product of this administration's imagination, and was brewing well before we liberated Iraq.
